Mobile Security Towers

Solar-Powered

TitanWatch Security Towers run on 100% solar power with 7+ day battery backup. No wires, no fuel, no grid needed. Deploy anywhere the sun shines. Buy or rent.

What Is a Solar-Powered Security Tower?

  • A solar-powered security tower is a mobile surveillance trailer that generates all of its own power from sunlight. Solar panels charge on-board batteries during daylight. The batteries power the cameras, AI processor, cellular modem, and Talk Down speaker around the clock — day and night, sun or clouds.

  • Solar power is critical for security towers because most sites that need surveillance the most — construction, oil & gas, remote yards, disaster response — are also the sites where grid power is not available or is not practical to install. A solar tower eliminates the need for a generator, fuel deliveries, extension cords, and permits from the utility company.

How the TitanWatch Solar System Works

  • The TitanWatch Mobile Security Tower is engineered to run on 100% solar power in most North American climates. The system has four key components: solar array, battery bank, charge controller, and low-power electronics.

  • The solar array uses high-efficiency panels mounted on the trailer. The array is sized to fully recharge the batteries every day even in winter conditions. The battery bank holds enough energy to run the entire tower for seven-plus days with no sun at all — the worst-case scenario for a cloudy week or a heavy snow.

  • The charge controller manages the flow of energy from solar to battery to load, protecting the batteries from overcharge and deep discharge. Every camera, radio, and speaker on the tower is chosen for low power draw, so the system runs efficiently even during long winter nights.

Why Solar Beats Generator Power for a Security Tower

Diesel and propane generators can power a surveillance trailer, but they bring costs and problems that solar avoids:

  • Fuel deliveries: solar has zero fuel cost after purchase
  • Environmental compliance: solar has zero emissions and zero noise
  • Maintenance: solar has no oil changes, spark plugs, or moving engine parts
  • Reliability: solar has no engine to fail — battery + panels are simple and long-lived
  • Security: no fuel to steal from the tower
  • Regulations: many sites (like federal land or environmentally sensitive areas) prohibitgenerators outright

The TitanWatch Security Tower is designed solar-first. There is no generator in the base configuration and no space for one — because we never needed to add one.

Solar Runtime and Cloudy Weather

  • A common question: what happens on a week of clouds? The TitanWatch battery bank holds enough energy to run the tower for seven-plus days with no solar input at all. In real-world Colorado, Wyoming, and Rockies winter conditions, that is more than enough runtime to bridge any storm system. The system also uses smart battery management to extend runtime by dimming or duty-cycling non-critical loads during extended cloudy periods.

  • For sites in extreme conditions (Alaska, coastal fog, dense forest canopy), we can add additional solar capacity or a smaller battery backup. Contact us to review your specific location.

Deploy Anywhere

Because the TitanWatch Security Tower is fully solar-powered, it deploys anywhere with sun and a cellular signal. There is no wait for utility hookup. There is no permit for grid tie-in. There is no extension cord to trip over or cut. There is no generator to refuel. You tow the trailer in, level it, raise the mast, and it starts working

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The system is engineered to run on solar power in most North American climates including Denver, Colorado. The battery bank holds enough energy for 7+ days of cloudy weather with no additional solar input. In practice, sites operate for months without any external power intervention.

The solar array and battery bank are sized for year-round operation in Colorado, Wyoming, and the Northern Plains. The system also dims non-critical loads during extended cloudy periods to extend runtime.

In most cases, no. The seven-day battery reserve covers realistic worst-case weather. For fog-prone or dense-canopy sites, a small backup can be added — contact us to discuss your location.

Solar panels are mounted on the trailer and secured against theft and wind. They fold down for transport. Once the tower is on-site and the mast is raised, the panels are elevated and locked into a fixed position facing the sun.

Very little. Panels should be cleaned once or twice a year in dusty environments. Batteries are sealed and require no watering. TitanSIS monitors battery health remotely and will notify you if any component needs attention.
